What Are the Recommended Toys for New Born Babies?

When shopping for baby items you probably never thought that once they started teething you'd be searching for the best teething toys for babies.

I didn't either.

With my boys, they simply took whatever was cold and available without any problems. However, with my daughter, it has been an entirely different story.

Finding the best teething toys for babies these days can be a lot trickier than finding the softest baby blankets.

As a mom to an infant that started teething before four months and hated all of the teethers that we had initially purchased, today, I wanted to share with you some of the best teething toys for babies this year that I have found.

Hopefully, one of these with help make the teething process a little easier for you and your little one.

Mombella Mimi The Mushroom

You've probably seen the Mombella Mimi The Mushroom teether being advertised as one of the best teething toys for babies everywhere. However, I'm here to tell you that this mushroom teether lives up to the hype that it receives.

It does seem to sell out quickly though (especially on Amazon) since so many moms have been raving about it. But, if you can find one in stock, jump on it ASAP, it may just be your saving grace.

It's ideal for babies who are breastfeeding, babies who don't like pacifiers, and the recommended age is 0-6 months. Plus, it even includes a clip.

In my case, my daughter has three because she's obsessed with it AND after our puppy, Hoss got to the first one I wanted to make sure she doesn't have to be without it again.

RaZbaby RaZberry Teething Relief Pacifer

When those teeth first start poking through your baby may be inconsolable. The RaZbaby RaZberry teething relief pacifier may be just the solution you need.

I got the idea of a frozen pacifier from watching 'Boss Baby' and what a great idea it was.

Most teething toys for babies are for the fridge only, but this teething pacifier can go in the freezer and doesn't get hard.

It instantly provides relief to sore gums, it's affordable, and it is easy to hold or can be used hands-free.

My only complaint is that it doesn't stay long cold (about 2-3 minutes tops) so I ended up purchasing 5 for baby girl and she usually goes through about 2 or 3 each session. The recommended age group is 3+ months.

The best part is, even if your baby doesn't like pacifiers they may enjoy this one. When Ellie was first born she occasionally took the pacifier, but now the only one she will take is this one.

RaZbaby Baby Fruit Feeder / Teething Toy

The RaZbaby Baby Fruit Feeder is easily one of the best teething toys for babies because in addition to being a teething toy it also is a fruit feeder, which is great for babies ages 6+ months that are trying out new foods.

The best part is you can use frozen or fresh fruits in it to help provide your baby with relief.

It's even dishwasher safe to make clean-up a breeze.

Teething Mittens

Does your baby like to bite on their fingers when they are cutting teeth? Teething mittens can be a great alternative for that.

They are recommended for babies 3+ months, however, when shopping for them you may have to try a few different brands to get the right fit.

The first pair I purchased for baby girl was much too big, however, now she's grown into them. Thankfully, she liked biting on them still, but since they didn't fit her hands it didn't eliminate the finger biting right away.

Baby elefun Elephant Teether

If your baby's theme is elephants (like Ellie's) the Baby elefun Elephant Teether is definitely worth giving a try.

We recently introduced this to Ellie as it was a stocking stuffer for her and so far things are going well.

She does prefer the frozen pacifier and mushroom more, but this teether is a part of her daily rotation too. It was a replacement for a larger elephant teether that Hoss got too that she absolutely loved, but it's no longer sold.

It's easy to hold, cute, and can be used right from the newborn stage.

These are the best teething toys for babies

If you're looking for the best teething toys for babies one of these is sure to be a good fit.

Since Ellie started teething we've tried at least 15-20 different types of teethers and these are the ones that work the best.

Hopefully, this list will save you some time and frustration.
